Research Interests

Laboratory adaptations for the visually impaired; Synthesis of transition metal complexes.

Dr. Wohlers is interested in studying the synthesis of acyl and alkyl metalloporphyrin complexes to investigate potential catalytic application in carbonylation and polymerization reactions. He is involved in the investigation and discovery of enhancements for the visually-impaired in science education. He is also interested in the synthesis of compounds containing seven or more elements (for the fun of it!).
